Karen's obituary

Karen Berger Armstrong, 66, passed away on March 17, 2025, in Boulder, Colorado.

Karen was born on January 8, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa. A devoted daughter of Christ, she lived her life with unwavering faith and passion. She was an active Church of the Lookout member, where she joyfully served as a vocalist on the worship team. Her love for singing and dancing reflected her vibrant spirit, and she found great joy in expressing her faith through music.

Karen embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. She was a loving wife to Neil Armstrong and a cherished mother to Ramon Rocha, Emily, and April Norman. She was also a proud grandmother to Elijah Norman Koeppen, Mariah Norman, Violet M. Rocha, and Ramon J. Rocha, and welcomed extended family through marriage: Hannah and Sterling Steensland, along with their children True and Stella Steensland, and Lucia Lopez, with her granddaughter Jasmine Johnson. Karen treasured the time spent with her family—whether it was cooking together, sharing laughter, or simply enjoying each other’s company.

Beyond her devotion to family and faith, Karen had a playful and mischievous side that brought lightheartedness to those around her. She was talented and athletic, enjoying activities such as running, cycling, and swimming that allowed her to fully embrace the beauty of life. Her kindness and generosity touched many lives, leaving behind memories filled with love and joy.

Karen is preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Grace Norman, but she leaves behind a legacy of love carried forward by those who knew her best.

A funeral service will be held on March 22, 2025, at the Church of the Lookout, located at 7845 Lookout Rd., Niwot, Colorado. The service will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at noon as family and friends gather to honor Karen’s life and faith.

Karen lived life to the fullest with a passion for her Christian beliefs and a deep love for those around her. May her memory bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
