Kara R Geiger, 48, of Prospect, PA, formerly of Franklin Park, passed away on September 6, 2020 after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer.
Kara was born in August 1972 in Pittsburgh, PA to proud parents, Michael and Cynthia Geiger. Kara graduated from North Allegheny school district in 1991. Kara was loyal, supportive, and kind, always there to lend a hand, an ear or a shoulder. Her family meant the world to her and she treasured her friends. Kara always had a positive attitude and worked hard to make a better life for herself and her children. Kara enjoyed country music, watching races at lernerville speedway, chocolate, snuggling with her cats, and spending time with family and friends. 

 Kara is survived by her mother Cynthia Geiger, her brother Michael Geiger, sister Kim Geiger, her children Rachael, Dale and Nicole, grandsons Maddox and Hudson, niece Mya, and nephews Noah, Parker and Porter. She was preceded in death by her beloved father Michael Geiger.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday October 10, 2020 at McConnell's Mill State Park from 12:00-4:00. In lieu of flowers, donations for Kara's children Dale and Nicole are being accepted.
