Kantilal Patel (affectionately known as KP and Kantibhai) passed away peacefully on February 23rd surrounded by his wife and four children and loved ones. He will always be loved and missed by those he leaves behind.

Kantilal was born in Bhalej, India on December 26, 1930 to Purushottamdas and Maniben Patel. After completing his education in Civil Engineering, he married Shushilaben Patel in 1954 and they later immigrated to Nairobi, Kenya in 1956, where he worked for theย East African Railways and Harbours Corporation.

He had a beautiful life in Kenya for 19 years, surrounded by his four children, Nitin, Nutan, Anant and Anita, many loving relatives and lifelong friends.

In 1975, the family immigrated to the U.S. and he worked in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and later in Boston as a Civil Engineer. After retiring in 2004, he lived in Liberty Township, Ohio.

He will always be remembered for his friendliness, kindness, wisdom, guidance ('guru'), spirituality, mental sharpness, and he was a motivated yoga practitioner.
