Marry Kandace's obituary
Marry Kandace Akers, age 67, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025. Born on July 8, 1957, in Monroe, Michigan, Kandace brought warmth, beauty, and grace into the lives of everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edward Partin and Marry Helen Partin.
She is survived by her beloved son, Dustin Akers of Knoxville; her devoted siblings: Georgia Anderson of Athens, TN; Peggy Collins of Tampa, FL; Marie Albright of LaFollette, TN; Pam Frady, Patricia Partin, Jackie Ausmus, and Chuck Partin, all of Middlesboro, KY. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly.
Kandace was passionate about animals and shared her life with her cherished companions—her Chihuahuas, Sophia and Horatio, and her cat, Jack. She had a keen eye for interior design and found joy in shopping, decorating, and surrounding herself with beauty. Her greatest treasures, however, were her relationships—whether with family, lifelong friends, or anyone lucky enough to cross her path.
Services were held privately, and a public celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In honor of Kandace’s memory and love for animals, donations may be made to Young-Williams Animal Center or the National Kidney Foundation.
Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is honored to serve the Akers family.
