Kaija's obituary
Kaija York came to America in 1953, with her family, when she was 7 yrs. old, from Rautio, Finland. She graduated from Eureka Highschool in 1963, went to business college, worked at Montgomery Ward, Lee’s Jewelers, and then became co-owner with her brother at Family Affair Guest Home. She loved caring for the elderly and even worked later in life at Timber Ridge & Renaissance.
Kaija enjoyed life to the fullest and found pleasure in many things. Some of which were cooking for her family, sewing for her grandkids, dinners with her friends, hiking throughout Humboldt County, traveling abroad, weeks in Kaui, and so much more.
