My parents are almost to Laramie as of today.

I have been assigned as the person "in charge" of figuring out stuff for the Kitty Boys. I have been in contact with the Laramie Animal Shelter and have emailed the Laramie Animal Welfare Society in the hopes of getting the Boys transferred over there to get into a foster program.

I appreciate everyones help trying to find homes for the boys around the country. It truly means a LOT, you dont even know.

I am hoping the LAWS will allow me to take over this small thing to ease the burden for my parents. Its my understanding that there may be some paperwork involved to do so, but I will keep you all updated.

Update from June 25, 2025

I forgot to mention, the Kitty Boys have found a new home!

They went to their new home, TOGETHER, as of yesterday, 6/24/25.

If you missed my update via Facebook, I truly appreciate every single one of you who shared the Laramie Animal Welfare Society's foster request post.

It helped the boys find a home within a DAY of the posting.

I know Justin is incredibly grateful to all of you.

Update from June 25, 2025

Hello everyone,

My parents are heading home to Texas tomorrow.

Me, my husband and daughter will be driving to Texas starting Saturday, from Oregon.

As of this moment, I have an idea to do a memorial/celebration of life on July 3rd, at my parents home.
For anyone who is out of state and wishes to attend, I will make sure to stream it. On which platform? I do not know yet.

The memorial itself feels super unorganized in my mind, but what I had thought could happen is do something later in the evening to light some sparklers after potentially just reminiscing about Justin via stream. Get a large bouquet of flowers and a nice picture of him. Show him my little Pride Axolotl buddy I made for him. Have my daughter blast the bubble gun.

I honestly dont know how to plan a memorial.
I dont know what Im doing.

All I know is Justin DESERVES something to formally say goodbye.
(Even if its as informal as can be.)

Though goddess knows...Im not ready one bit.

Typing that out itself? Im starting to cry again.

This still hurts and will for a long, long time.

But hopefully we can do him justice in remembrance.

No plans yet. I want to thank everyone who has reached out for condolences and stories of Justin and how he impacted your lives. He truly was a shining light. I just wish it didnt go out so soon. In terms of events, a tentative idea is to have a small service possibly at my parents home. If that is the plan, I will ensure we can stream it for all who cannot attend. Once we have more information, I will keep everyone updated. Thank you so much for all your love in this dark time.
