Fuzzy's obituary
Justin Anthony Carey, affectionately known to family and friends as “Fuzzy,” passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 52. He was born on May 22, 1973, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Halvard A. Carey and Janice Carey.
Justin was intelligent, creative, and endlessly curious. Largely self-taught in computer and technical skills, he built a career that reflected his natural talent and dedication to learning. He worked as an IT technician and contractor on various federal government projects, earning a reputation for reliability, problem-solving, and deep technical knowledge.
Throughout his career, Justin supervised and managed the Computer Learning Lab for Dell Computers and provided technical support for BlueHost, Endurance Ink in Orem, Raytheon, and ASM Research for the VA in Salt Lake City. His work touched many organizations, and he took pride in helping others understand and use technology with confidence.
Beyond his professional life, Justin loved music and was known for his good singing voice. His nickname, “Fuzzy,” reflected his warm heart, gentle humor, and the easygoing way he connected with people. He was thoughtful, loyal, and deeply loved by those closest to him.
Justin is survived by his mother, Janice Carey (Chris); Siblings Bryce (Jenice) Carey, Michelle Thompson. Jaimie (Stephanie) Carey, and Troy Carey; He is also survived by his nephews and nieces Johnathon, Taylor, Danielle, Chance, Rylee, Landen, Aimie ,Cash,and Shawn,
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Afton and Maurice Carey, and Paul and Juanita Pullan; his father Hal Allen Carey; his niece Michaella Carey; and his uncles Daryl Pullan, Gene Pullan, Richard Carey, and Maurice Carey.
Services will be held on February 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Farm Barn. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Justin’s life.
