Julius Clemon's obituary

In Loving Remembrance…
Julius (Hippie) Thomas was born on January 05, 1955 to the late Luker and Willie Pearl Thomas in Birmingham, Alabama. At an early age he confessed hope in Christ and joined Bethel A.M.E. Zion Church.

Julius was a product of the Birmingham Public School System. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He enjoyed life, LOVED to dance, enjoyed good music, and a good time.

Julius demonstrated one of the most essential qualities that Jesus Christ wants from his children and that was showing love.

The Lord decided that he had faithfully served his season, and it was time to take him home on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Julius was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence (Tricky) Law, Luker Thomas, Jr., and Louis Andrew “Billy” Rayford.

He leaves to cherish his memories: son; Derrick Askew, LasVegas, Nevada; granddaughter, Skylar Askew; two brothers, Willie (Lanie) Thomas and Charles Thomas, of Birmingham, AL.; two sisters, Turethea Pearl Law and Cynthia Ann Thomas, of Birmingham, AL.; special sister, Bernice (Tom) McCollum; nephews, Tyree Law, Atlanta, GA., Lawrence Conwell, Florida, Marlon and Carlos Riggs, Birmingham, AL.; nieces, Tracy Polk, Chiquita Conwell, Tiffany Conwell, Vanessa Riggs, Adraine Thomas, Amanda Thomas, Charlecia Robinson, Ashley Thomas, Kimberly Warren, Doris Dunn, Jennifer Lockett, and Kathy Dunn, all of Birmingham, AL.
