One day Bugs burst in through the front door. She said, "David, do this." She lifted her right hand to her chest and tapped it repeatedly. So I did it, just going along with it. Next, she said l, "Now try to bite your ear." I actually tried to bite my ear. Bugs peed herself she was laughing so hard. I don't usually laugh that hard, but Bug's special gift was that she never stopped.

Julie Auna was such a brilliant person. I had the amazing pleasure of working with her when she came to Washington. I never met anyone as amazing as her. She was such an inspiration and had such a love for life. She told me so many wonderful stories about her family and friends. She will forever be remembered and missed.
