Julie's obituary
Born on December 7th, 1993, Julie Anne Saint-Jean has unfortunately passed on June 2nd, 2024, at the young age of 30. Julie was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York as a daughter of two Haitian parents. She attended the High School for Health Careers & Sciences and graduated with an Advanced Regents Diploma. She then went on to study at Long Island University with a Bachelors in Science and was recognized for her excellent academic achievements on the LIU Nursing Honor Society in 2015, and then started as a Registered Nurse. Furthering her studies, she then graduated with her Masters in 2020, all while maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA and becoming a Nurse Practitioner. In 2021, she took an even more extensive initiative by attending Grand Canyon University to become a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Julie worked and volunteered with various hospitals, clinics and other organizations throughout her short-term career, and everywhere she went she was loved greatly amongst her patients and peers. Coming from a lower middle-class upbringing, Julie worked exceptionally hard and relentlessly to achieve the things she has done and live out her dreams. Since she was young, she always had a radiant ambition to help others and be an essential contribution to her community, and the world. She was one of the most highly intelligent and hardworking person, anyone could have ever known.
Julie was a person of many hobbies and interests, always looking for new joys of fulfillment, eager to take on the world. She enjoyed traveling, occasional festivities, and most importantly, using her free-time to spend with her loved ones. She was very family-oriented and unity meant everything to her. Julie was the heart and soul of the family gatherings, meticulously planning all the events that would bring everyone together. Her company was always sought for. She never failed to make anyone laugh or put them in a good mood. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, always ready to lend a hand or listening ear. Her compassion was not limited to her professional life, but was a cornerstone of who Julie was as a person.
Julie’s loving heart and sweet spirit will be dearly missed. Her untimely passing has broken and shaken her close ones to the core. No matter how dark the world could be, she would always find a way to illuminate every where she went with her outgoing humor and gentle soul. She was truly the best daughter, niece, sister, cousin and friend that one could ever ask for. Once in a lifetime being that can never be duplicated or replaced. Julie’s hard work and name will never fade away in vain. We will keep her torch that lit the way for countless others, to continue to shine bright. Gone, but never forgotten. Forever Julie.
