So sorry for your loss. I walk by her office daily and think of her smile and hear her laughter. She was a bright light in a dark world. I wish I could have known her better. May she rest in peace and God’s peace rest on her family and friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It was a joy to work with Julie and I will never forget the warmth her smile brought to the office each day. May she rest in peace and the may the peace of God rest upon you and your families.

I worked with Julie at Oakley Sub Assembly since the start of her cancer diagnosis. There was never a time when Julie was not courageous and hope-filled in her journey with this dread disease--a true inspiration. When she was home during treatment, I would text her for a "Julie Report", as everyone was thinking of her and wondering if all was going well. I gave her a wee donkey Warmie and encouraged her to throw it in the microwave to warm it up and hold it when she needed a hug, and to remind her to be stubborn in her fight (as donkeys are known for their stubbornness).
She is a beautiful soul, and I imagine her dancing with the angels; free from pain. Her amazing smile is lighting up heaven for sure. She will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family.
To the Rice family...
When somebody dies, a cloud turns into an angel and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow.
A bird gives the message back to the world and sings a silent prayer that makes the rain cry.
Loved ones disappear but they never really go away. The spirits out there put the sun to bed, wake up grass, and spin the earth in dizzy circles.
Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the daytime when they're supposed to be sleeping.
They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide.
They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes.
And, when they sing wind songs, they whisper to us...
Don't miss me too much. The view is nice, and I'm doing just fine...
