Julia's obituary
We deeply mourn the loss of Julia Santos, who was born on August 29, 1992, and tragically passed away on August 12, 2024. Julia was a beacon of kindness, humor, intelligence, and generosity. Her laughter was infectious, and she was a firm believer in the power of joy and humor, often advising others to "laugh as much as you can".
Julia's love for her family knew no bounds. She leaves behind her loving parents, Sharon Santos, and Thomas Santos, Lisa Santos (step mother), her loving siblings, Heather, Michael, and John Santos, as well as her dear grandfather, Joseph Larson and grandmother Donna Santos. She also leaves behind her loving and thoughtful boyfriend, Nick Wells. Julia was predeceased by her grandfather John Santos and grandmother, Julia Larson. Julia was lived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. She found exceptional joy in her relationships with her family and dedicated her life to making their days a little brighter.
Education was a cornerstone of Julia's life and her achievements were nothing short of admirable. Julia graduated from James Madison University in 2016. She not only excelled academically, but embarked on a rewarding career that became one of her greatest accomplishments. She became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), dedicating her life to the field and visibly changing the lives of those she worked with.
Her interests were a reflection of her colorful personality. She enjoyed exploring new experiences and one could often find her with a Taco Bell meal in hand, cheering for the Boston Red Sox or the New England Patriots, or engrossed in one of her favorite TV shows — SpongeBob, Gray's Anatomy, Law & Order, or Parks and Rec. A competitive spirit, Julia loved games including Phase 10 and Skip-Bo. She loved the color red, which perfectly matched her vibrant persona.
Julia's compassion extended beyond her immediate circle. Children with Autism held a special place in her heart. Her commitment to this cause was inspiring and she worked tirelessly to bring awareness and support to these children and their families.
Julia's legacy will be one of kindness, love, and compassion. Even in her absence, her light continues to shine in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was indeed - the best among us. Her loss is deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the incredible power of love, laughter, and kindness. Julia, whose passion in life was to serve others. We can't pretend to know the mind of God but we do know is that He is sovereign and His plans are perfect. His plan for Julia was to come home and be unburdened by physical laws and now enjoy all the fruits of her labor as He smiles at her in eternity.
