I couldn't have wished for a lovelier granddaughter-in-law. She blended herself seamlessly into our family and had the gift of making connections with young and old. I am so glad we saw her this summer - we will miss her dearly.
Capturing your wedding with Sierra was one of the highlights of my career. I will always remember your story, and that true genuine love connection that you shared. My heart is so heavy for all of you who were close with Julia, because just 8 hours with her impacted my life forever. Sending you all so much love as you work through your grief. 🫶🏼

We have known Julia since she was a little girl and considered her part of our family, as have so many folks. From that young age, her character was already pure Julia: kind, loads of fun, mischievous, funny, daring, warm, caring, beautiful, fierce tennis player, graceful dancer, lovely mermaid, positive, encouraging, gracious, generous- she was a great friend to our children and a delight to everyone who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing her.

Who knew that when Laurence lived with us as a high school exchange student, this serendipitous meeting of Laurence and Julia would become an amazing love story!

As a young woman, wife, and mother, she was determined, courageous, charismatic, ardent,  still wickedly clever and quit-witted, and ever positive. Her brief but brilliant life had such a positive impact on so many lives. Our hearts break for  Laurence and little Ruari, Joan and James, Jonathan, and all the families. The image that remains for us is her joyful face and dazzling smile.

From our Westwood Lake family we send our sincere condolences to your entire family.   I hope your grief eventually evolves into warm memories of nice times with Julia. Love and hugs, Mike
Julia was a valued friend to my daughter since early years together in ballet class.  Julia made sure to keep in touch over the years even though they lived far apart.  She was most supportive and loving.  Her loss is difficult for all who knew her.  Her husband Laurence and son Rauri will always be in our hearts.

A screenshot of a photo of a photo. This is one of the first moments me and Julia met while I was studying in London. We obviously hit it off immediately as friends. I think Lorro took this photo while we were perfectly recreating the image from the V&A. The caption highlights Julia's humour and care. — with Max Seabrooke
Myself and Nat are heartbroken but at the same time feel massively appreciative and privileged to have had Julia in our lives. Her happiness and optimism was infectious. We'll sorely miss her. Much love to all of the family again x
Cheryl and I met Julia when she moved to the house across from ours. Her lively and cheerful disposition was contagious,  quickly leading us to from a close bond. Spending time with her was invariably a pleasure. Watching her and Lawrence playing with Ruari on the front lawn was always heartwarming.  Her commitment to activism served as a beacon of motivation.  The radiant energy Julia brought into our lives will be eternally cherished.

Thinking of the Watson family during this time.

Sincerely,

Brian Brooks
