Julia and I were introduced by Laurence’s cousin, Max. Being in very similar circumstances we began exchanging stories, experiences, worries, hopes, milestones, and dreams. One of those dreams was that we would one day meet properly in person. And we did!

At about this time of year, in 2021, we met in Manchester. It was exactly how Julia had described her dream to me. Video calls and messages continued, we were lucky enough to see them several times afterwards. Highs and lows were shared, our connection was strengthened. We had no idea that July would be the last time we saw each other in person, or that September would be the last time I received one of her typically sunny messages, despite her illness.

I am so unbelievably grateful for every second I spent in the presence of such a beautiful soul. Julia’s energy, positivity and wisdom were utterly inspiring. I will never forget her. We will miss her beyond measure. Until we meet again x

I was so sorry to hear about Julia's passing. She was such a positive and beautiful person.  She was so kind and loving, especially to my 3 girls who just adored her.

Blonde & Brunette 🤍 One of my best friends in college. I love you Julia. I can still hear your voice. We miss you.
It is hard to put into words just how wonderful Julia was. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone whose joy and kindness radiated out of them so strongly. She was one of those friends who made you want to be a better person just by Julia simply being herself. She was a role model on what it looks like to be a good friend, a wonderful wife, and a loving mother. I will forever cherish my time I had with Julia and I am so grateful she came into my life.
My sincerest condolences for the loss of Ms. Williams. She was a pleasure to have known. I wish her family peace during this difficult time.

I met Julia when she was 8 years old and had the privilege to see her grow up into a wonderful young lady. She was a flower girl at my wedding and was part of many wonderful memories in my life involving family events and trips. I have to say that she was almost as excited as I was at our wedding. She was always kind, polite, and graceful ever since she was a child. Julia not only gave her love and support to her family and friends whenever needed, but would often be the first to step up whenever her college sorority sisters, co-workers, or community members reached out for help. She was a great listener. I witnessed her transformation from cute little girl, to elegant teenager, to beautiful woman, to inspiring teacher, to loving bride, and to doting mother. She made friends easily not only because she was charismatic but because she was there for them when they needed her. We shared a love of travel and cooking. She loved bohemian chic style and looked great in it. She had the most wonderful long bright auburn hair and long legs. She loved nature and animals. She was a warrior and had the courage to fight her diagnosis for 8 years in a positive and hopeful manner. I am glad she had in Laurence a great partner in life and was able to experience unconditional love. She left a great impression in everyone that knew her. I will always love her and her memory will always bring a smile to my face. She loved her family and in particular, her parents, brother, Laurence and Rouri with all her heart. I am thankful for the time we spent together as she was pure love, grace and kindness. I know she knew how much she was loved.

Always,

Sylvia Rosas-Watson
