Julie's obituary
Julia Spivey "Julie" Hill went home to be with Jesus on June 12, 2022, at age 57. She was the caboose of 4 children, and a treasured birthday present of second son Randy, born to Bernard Spivey and Pearl Mims Spivey Johnson on June 18, 1964, in Augusta, Georgia. Julie took it upon herself to become unsolicited shenanigan reporter and relentless tag-along to older sister Cindy. She learned the inescapable leg-lock wrestling move from her blackbelt-wielding oldest brother Vince, which she later used on her husband, to render submission in critical marital matters. Beautiful Julie was elected to Homecoming Court, practiced cheerleading and graduated from Evans High School in 1982. She attended the University of Georgia. Julie met her husband, William Hoover Hill II at Plant Vogel in Waynesboro, Ga in 1985. "Bill" swept her off her feet and they moved to Sylvania, Ohio. They married in 1987 in the Fern Grotto of Kuai, Hawaii; and went on to have three children, William Hoover Hill III, Lindsey Anne Hill, and Chandler Bernard Hill. They moved to Fort Worth, and soon after, built a house and raised their children in Weatherford, Texas. After emptying the nest, Bill and Julie moved to Clinton, Mississippi. She worked several years as an accountant. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Julie loved studying God’s Word and was a member of Morison Heights Baptist Church. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, continually ministering to those in need. She created beautiful cards, sharing words of faith and encouragement. Julie is survived by her husband Bill, of Clinton, Mississippi, 3 children: Will, of Fort Worth, Tx, Lindsey, of Oakland Ca., and grandson Indigo, and youngest son Chandler of San Diego, Ca. She is also survived by her brother, Randy Spivey of Martinez, Ga and sister, Cindy Learn and her husband Ricky, of Charleston, SC, stepfather Edward Johnson of Augusta, Ga, Aunt Wanda and many cousins. She was preceded by brother Vince and now rejoices in heaven with Jesus and her mother, Pearl Mims Spivey Johnson. Julie cherished lifelong friendships with Beverly Greve, Jennifer Ollerich and most especially, Anne O’Connell who never failed to make her laugh and keep her spirits lifted even as they shared each other’s tears.
Psalms 100
1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
