Julia Aleida Guldris passed away peacefully on June 18, 2020. She had just turned 90. Born in Ceiba de Aguas, Havana, Cuba on June 16, 1930. She was the eldest of three siblings. She married Manuel Guldris on January 6, 1953 and lived together until he passed away on July 12, 2012. Survived by her three children, Pablo "Paul" Guldris, Aleidita "Aly" Guldris and Jacqueline "Jackie" Guldris. She arrived to Miami, Florida from Cuba in March 1962 alone, 6 months pregnant with her youngest daughter in her belly to rejoin her husband and her other 2 children that had arrived before her. The family set residence in Miami and have lived there since then. Everyone that knew her called her "Aleida". Raised in a farm, she loved all animals, fruits trues, flowers and herb gardens and her latest craze nearing her death was a passion for birds. But her true passion during her entire life was the kitchen. In the late 60's she started a small food business from her home. Then later in the late 70's established a catering service where she was renowned for her delicious "Arroz Imperial" serving residents of Miami and Coral Gables and it's City Hall. Her food traveled all over the world since her clients would order large frozen quantities to take on their vacations, special events and holidays. She fed many people throughout her life with her authentic and delicious Cuban food. Her house was a food hub for friends and family. She is survived by her 3 children [named above] her 3 adorable and beautiful granddaughters, Jesselky "Jessi" Guldris, Danielle Lauren Guldris and Stephanie Lane Guldris, her great-grandson A.J. [Alfredo] Ruiz and her niece Mercedes Basulto Hernandez and her nephew Alexander Hernandez, as well as, all her 'adopted' children that saw her as a second mother. God gave her the privilege to create a beautiful family where she was loved and respected by many who could count on her friendship. She was a beautiful women with a great soul and a sweet smile. Her family is proud and honored by all the years of love and great virtues cherished throughout the years at her side. She will be truly missed. Bye nuestra chiquitica [our little one].
