Julia's obituary
Julia Ann was born to Henry and Margaret (Jones) Doucet on November 18, 1952, in Chickasha, Oklahoma and passed away on January 7th, 2024 in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
Due to her father’s Army career, the family traveled a LOT. Julia graduated from Chickasha High School in 1971. In 1976, the love of her life came into the picture; her only son, Jeffery Linn.
She worked as a CMA at Sunnytide, Shannon Springs Nursing, and Chickasha Nursing Home, as well as PET Milk of Chickasha, Rosewood Nursing of Norman, Moore Nursing Home of Moore, and Presbyterian Sports Hospital of Oklahoma City.
She enjoyed country music, dancing, cooking, and baking, but most of all, all things Gene Watson, until the arrival of her grandchildren. She enjoyed speaking the word of God to anyone who would listen, and some of those who wouldn’t. She prayed whenever asked, and later became an ordained minister in 1999.
She was preceded in death by both parents, both brothers, and grandson Dakota Doucet.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Doucet; son Jeff Doucet and wife Trisha of Weatherford, bonus daughter Emily (Burns) Bradley and husband Martin of Chickasha; grandchildren Holden Doucet and wife Mayra, Lillie Doucet-White and husband Erik, Taylor Doucet, Jessiekah Cook, Erick Doucet, Abaigael Hartline, and Micha-Linn Doucet of Weatherford, Matthew Ace, Braelyn Wyatt, and Jordan Faith of Chickasha; great-granddaughter Ellina Liliana of Weatherford; numerous cousins, a gaggle of close friends, and an amazing list of staff that loved her as much as their own family.
A special thanks to all her special Corn Heritage CNA’s, CMA’s, LPN’s, and RN’s. Your commitment to care meant the world to her, as well as her family. We can never thank you enough.
To the staff of Weatherford Regional Hospital: “Thank you cannot begin to express our feelings. Your compassion during our stay will never be forgotten. We will forever be grateful. Thank you!”
To Tony Cannon, thank you is an understatement. But the smile and laughs you brought into the room will not soon be forgotten.
To our church families and everyone who has donated time, money, prayers, and themselves: “Thank you for your time, talents, and treasures. God sees you and will bless you in the same ways that you have blessed us!”
