Jules's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jules Osher, who departed this life on September 6, 2025, at the age of 100. A cherished step-father, brother, and husband, Jules was a monument of perseverance, patience, and unyielding fairness.
Jules was born on July 24, 1925, and throughout his remarkable life, he upheld a dedication to personal growth and learning. Along with service his country during two wars (WWI and Korea), his passion for life-long learning etched an enriching path for himself and those around him. His pursuit of new skills and subjects was not just a hobby, but an integral facet of his personality, which was best described as tough but fair.
Jules married his beloved Barbara Osher in 1983, who sadly predeceased him. Their relationship was a testament to their shared values and enduring love for over 40 years. Their home was a haven of love, understanding, and mutual respect.
Besides Barbara, Jules was also predeceased by his dear brother James Osher and his step-son David Gilman. His loss was mourned by them greatly, and Jules carried their memories with profound love and respect.
The legacy of Jules continues to live on through his surviving step-sons, Colin and Sean Gilman. He imprinted on them his most precious lessons of perseverance and patience. As they navigate this world without his guiding presence, they will carry the wisdom he imparted.
Jules' footprint on this world will never fade; his impact will remain long after his departure. May his lessons of endurance, strength, and fairness continue to inspire and guide us. Jules Osher, your journey may have ended, but your spirit lives on in all those you have touched.
Jules did not request any service, but that he be cremated and scattered with his wife. The family will host a private celebration of life. The family is appreciative of everyone's love and support.
