Judy's obituary

Judy K Sievert, age 64, loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Ride Captain for Patriot Guard of Yuma, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 29, 2023.

Judy was born September 14, 1958 to George and Loretta Stanford in Bradford, Pennsylvania. She graduated Bradford Area High School in 1976, followed with a BSN nursing degree from Villa Maria College in Erie. She had a long career introducing lives as a Labor and Delivery Nurse along with saving lives as an ER and ICU Nurse.

On June 19, 1982 she was united in marriage to John Byrnes in Bradford Pennsylvania. They had four children together, which were her world. They settled and raised their family in the Green Bay Wisconsin area. She later remarried on June 3, 2006 to Mark Sievert in Pulaski, Wisconsin.

She was very active in her community through multiple volunteer efforts which included the veteran’s home in Yuma, Patriot Guard Riders in Arizona and Wreaths Across America. She was an avid crafter and especially loved creating custom hand painted tumblers. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and various offroading activities with friends. Judy was passionate about animal rescue which included her 4 dogs that she loved and cared for dearly.

She is survived by her husband Mark Sievert; her children, Kathryn (John) Heinz, St. Louis, Missouri; Jennifer (Al) Byrnes Chicago, Illinois; Robert Byrnes Fountain, Colorado; James (Tammy) Byrnes, Ansbach, Germany; 5 grandchildren, Vivianne, Jocelyn and Evelyn Byrnes; Jack Heinz; Ariel Byrnes; her sister Cheri (Michael) English, Atlanta, Georgia; stepson Al Sievert, Pulaski WI; stepdaughter Brandi Sievert Pulaski, WI; grandchild Mae Sievert along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Roger Stanford, sister Linda Stanford; father in law Sonny Sievert.

A special thank you to the team at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix Arizona who cared for Judy and family through her final moments.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Veteran and Animal Shelters of your choice.

There will be a Patriot Guard Ride Procession from Phoenix to Yuma leading her to the American Legion Post at 1490 West 3rd Street

Green Bay, WI – 8/12/2023 3:00 PM

Gathering for family and friends at Jaworski Park located at 871 Jaworski Road, Pulaski Wisconsin.
