Judy Ann McAndress, 69, was given her angel wings and called to Heaven August 27th 2024. Judy, a long time resident of Morgan Hill, California passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.

The third of four children to John and Grace McAndress, Judy was born on January 17th, 1955 in Torrance. Shortly after, the family moved to Morgan Hill where Judy planted lifelong roots- finishing school, marrying Craig Nelson & starting a family, and developing her career.

As a graduate of Live Oak High School, Judy later went on to create a long, rewarding career with the Morgan Hill Unified School District, retiring in 2016. Judy’s most memorable working years were spent as ASB Bookkeeper for Live Oak.

A longtime lover of music and dance, Judy often enjoyed singing karaoke, country line dancing, and an occasional concert. But those activities took a backseat to Judy’s favorite pastime- spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren.

Judy was predeceased by her younger brother Jay and father John. She will be greatly missed by her mother Grace, sister Joyce, brother John, daughters Amy Van Scoter (Jacob), and Laurie Cavinta (Joel), grandchildren Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Lindsay, as well as nieces Lyndi and Traci, and nephew Robert & their families.

Friends & family are welcomed to gather for a memorial service at 11 on September 12th at Lima-Campagna-Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill.
