Judy's obituary

Judith Muriel Bowers of Knoxville,TN, fell asleep in death surrounded by her family on February 26, 2024. Judy was born on September 22, 1937, to Guffary and Muriel Kirby Mathis.

Judy was married to Charles on February 3, 1956. Judy was a faithful, patient, and loyal wife of nearly 56 years to her beloved Charles until his death. She retired from Target, but her true vocation and joy came from loyally serving her God, Jehovah. She dedicated her life in baptism on September 27, 1953.

Judy is lovingly remembered by her children: John Bowers, Derek Bowers (Casey), Kim Morehead (Shawn), Sister Ruth Whitaker,her grandchildren: Nicole Weinert (Dave), Misty Brooke O’Boyle (Joseph), Brandi Kuch (Dale), Jamie Defosses (Jonathan), and Roxy Bowers, her great-grandchildren: Christoper,Cole, and Chloe Weinert, Joseph and Nicholas O’Boyle, Ford, Cash, and Callaway Kuch, and her great-great-grandchild: Macklin O’Boyle, as well as a multitude of family members and friends.

Judy will be remembered for her kind and gentle demeanor, a great laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor. She was a truly altruistic woman who always put others ahead of herself.

A memorial service will be held on March 11 at 7:00 p.m. EST at 3958 E. Emory Rd., Knoxville,TN 37938, with the receiving of friends beginning at 6:00 p.m.
