I’m so sorry to hear that Mrs. Woodard passed away. She was such an inspiration to me. It’s been over 50 years since I last saw her but I have never forgotten her. Even after graduation she would send Christmas cards. I am so sorry that I lost touch with her. She inspired me to come out of my shell. She actually called my father, which I was very nervous about because he was a very strict man, to let me go to the dance because I had made the Pom line. At the time, I didn’t know that I had made it but when I told her that I couldn’t go to a dance she said OK. Let me see what I can do. My father let me go to the dance. She also always encouraged me to go forward and not be afraid of whatever I was doing at the time. I’m so glad she had such a good big family. I still remember when Shelly was born. We had a girl on the pom line that was named Shelly. We were so happy when she named the baby Shelly.  Funny thing I was thinking about her this morning, and I put her name on Google. Darn it. I wish I had done it sooner before she passed. I want her family to know what an amazing teacher she was, and such a kind human being.  I know that you will miss her very much.
I am just now learning of my dear friend judy's passing. We attended school together from fourth grade to 11th grade and reconnected our friendship some 50 years later. Judy was my best friend and I will miss her greatly. My condolences and heartfelt prayers go out to her family, especially her husband, Woody. My thoughts are with you.❤️
