Judith Rose Greenberg Saccucci. Mother, sister, granny, aunt, devoted friend to so many, kindergarten teacher, extensive traveler, poet, wife, artist extraordinaire. Born in Brooklyn, she spent her 87 years on Long Island feeling most at home on the South Shore among the grasses and marshes and the salt water sky. Lover of scrabble, rummikub, mah jongg, chocolate mallomars and Pall Malls, she loved anything that stimulated and highlighted her incredible intelligence. She really lived life to its fullest, creating her own rules, following no one else's template, extracting meaning and fulfillment at every bend. It is with profound sadness and loss that we let her return to the earth. She has left her indelible mark through her prolific artwork, poetry and in her children and grandchildren and friends who have loved her so.
