I am so sorry to hear of Judy's illness and death. We were roommates at Columbia and lived near each other when we were new graduates. I went to her wedding and visited her when her boys were young. Judy threw a baby shower for me which was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She had a smile that was contagious. The world lost a kind and special soul. I send my condolences to her children and family.

How I met Judy... we worked together one summer on a nationwide telephone survey project for a Market Research Co, based in Westport while we were both undergrads. I remember her first job at Cumberland Farms as a manager and her stint at a bank before deciding to go into social work. Judy was so wonderful, always positive and an ideal friend, always wanted to do interesting and fun things- play in NYC, trip to the beach in Greenwich, etc. Listening to Billie Holliday. I was there for her wedding in Little Compton. I saw her mostly during the 70s thru the 80s. Over the years, we got busy with our lives, jobs and families. I know she lived in NJ for a time. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I send my sincere condolences to her family. I will treasure the memories always.
