Juanita Joan Wilson-Young was born to Melvin Wilson and Sophie Mae (Irby) Wilson on September 30, 1952, in Farrell, Pennsylvania. She was raised and educated in the area graduating from Farrell Senior High School with the class of 1970. Juanita would go on to further her education at a business college in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
