Joyce Ann Tice (née Sturgeon), age 71, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Bourbonnais, Illinois. Born on February 6, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, Joyce brought warmth and laughter into the lives of those around her for more than seven decades.

Joyce was known for her vibrant spirit and infectious sense of humor. Her zest for life was evident in everything she did—from her passion for muscle cars and action movies to her unapologetic love of cheesy reality shows. Music played a special role in her life, with disco holding a particularly cherished place in her heart. Whether dancing to a favorite tune or sharing a laugh over a television show, Joyce embraced joy wherever she found it.

Above all else, Joyce adored her grandchildren. Her love for them surpassed even her well-known sweet tooth—especially when it came to chocolate. She delighted in spending time with them and took immense pride in their lives.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Kristina Jensen and her husband Justin, along with their daughters Meghan and Piper; her son Ron Medeiros and his wife Rachel, and their daughters Maddie, Samantha, and Josie; and her son Robert Medeiros and his wife Aubrey, with their daughters Brianna, Alexis, and Skylynn.

Joyce was preceded in death by her grandparents Helen and Frank Kalkstein; her parents Beverly and David Mouser; her sister June Ardizzone; and her brother Robert Sturgeon.

Her memory will live on through the laughter she inspired, the music she loved, and the family who will forever carry her spirit forward. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
