There are no words deep enough to express the sorrow of losing a beloved daughter like Joyce Catherine. Please accept our deepest condolences in this time of unimaginable grief. Although we never met her, we imagine that she was a beacon of light to all that she touched.
May you find solace in the memories, even as you grieve. May her name be spoken often, her life remembered always, and her soul rest in peace.

The first time Amy and I were introduced to Joyce was our daughter Julianne’s freshman year at Kelly high school. Julianne shows up with 3 friends one afternoon. They were all respectful kids. Julianne and two other went to her room and Joyce just sat down and talked to Amy and I. She was wearing a Sublime tee shirt (The band from the 90’s) and that sparked a conversation. Joyce had no problem talking to adults and was alway genuine. However, the kids go to leave and I asked what they had planned for the evening. And Joyce said without a thought. “Something Gangsta” Then threw up West End gang signs!! Amy and I laughed and joked about it with Joyce over the years. Up until a few weeks ago. Her friendship to my daughter is one that very few get to experience and I am so thankful for that. There really are too many memories to put in here as a family, however Joyce was there for many UFC fights, dinners, holidays, birthdays ect. (moving and laying down 12 pallets of sod had to be mentioned) She became a true friend to Amy as the girls became adults, and always a big sister to Jonathan. As for me, she was family to us and I thank God for him putting her in our lives.

One of my favorite memories with Sweet JC, known to our family as Penny, was the time our families went to the Grand Cayman. We loved traveling with them but nobody enjoyed traveling as much as JC. Love to you all!

2016, Her birthday party
She always lit up a room, I remember back when we were all dancing at Marsha woody, she would make us laugh so hard. Her laugh was so contagious and we will miss having her around. She was truly one of a kind! Praying for the family as they go through this time. We love you Joyce Catherine!

Kellye & Ty,
Chuck and I are sending our love, our support, and our prayers to you both, and to all family members and friends. We will continue to pray for comfort and peace daily. Joyce was a beautiful young lady who will certainly be missed by so many. The scripture Thessalonians 4:17 assures us of a future reunion with our loved ones into the presence of the Lord. Let us know please (and I mean this very seriously), if you need anything at all. We love you!
