Joyce "Grandma Da" Smith, affectionately known by loved ones as Grandma Da, has walked on from this life to the next on February 9, 2025. Born on March 29, 1939, she enjoyed a long, rich life filled with love and unparalleled kindness that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Joyce's husband, the late Tom Smith predeceased her but she was blessed to see her family continue to grow and thrive. She has also been reunited with her daughter Katherine Hammond who meets her at the pearly gates. Her enduring legacy is preserved by her surviving kin, who all carry her cherished memory with them.
Joyce's sweet and comforting personality was a beacon for her family. Her son and daughter Tom Smith (Angie) and Peggy Ryan find solace in the beautiful memories shared with their beloved mother. Her granddaughters - Desiree (Michael) Alexis, Bailey, Blakelynn, and her great granddaughters Ashlee , Evey and Laney - recall their grandmother with deep respect and affection.
Their bonds with Grandma Da will continue to flourish beyond her physical absence, as they remember her sweet, comforting nature, and use it as a guide in their lives. Her grandsons Bryce, TJ, Chris, and her great grandsons Tommy and Ske also carry the imprint of their grandmother's affectionate presence on their heart, honoring her influence in the men they will become.
