The first time I met Joy almost 30 years ago, I thought to myself, she is so nice. She talks a good game, but will she do what she says she will do. Joy Daugherty never let me down, not even once. She out-performed on every single project. If Joy said she would do something, you better take it to the bank.
Joy taught me many design/decorating tricks over the years. She even taught me how to “fluff” correctly. I will be forever grateful to her teachings, because they will always remind me of my precious friend! Joy would say, “it’s the simple things that makes the biggest impact.” Joy impacted countless lives and she didn’t even realize it. How blessed we are!
Not only was Joy an over achiever, she also stole my heart. Joy became a dear friend. We may not have talked or seen each other as much as we would have liked, but give us 15 minutes and we were caught up. We could laugh and cry in a matter of seconds. Her laughter was infectious and her personality was priceless. She could light up a room the minute she walked in! If you knew Joy, you loved her!!
Joy often told me how blessed she was to have such a loving family. She truly adored all of you! When she spoke about work, she never referred to her staff as her team, or her employees, she referred to them as her work family. Not many employees can say that about their boss. She was so proud of each of you. I know each of you will continue to make her legacy proud.
I love you and will miss you my dear friend!
I bet you will be fishing soon!! Fly high sweet girl!

I've been friends with this remarkable lady over 40 years. I'm devastated to hear of her death. Joy was a Leader and such a joy to everyone around her.
I'll miss my sweet friend...
