Joy was a vibrant and warm human being who showed me so much love when I was attending university with Justinn. She became my college mom at a time when I desperately needed that, and I will never be able to express my gratitude toward her for the many spend the nights at her house, trips to the beach, and the countless other ways she made me feel like a part of her family. I recently celebrated my wedding anniversary, and in addition to Justinn being there, I was honored that Joy, Chuck, and Martin made the drive to Annison to attend. I will never forget Joy and I hope all of us who knew her will live out her legacy of generosity, dedication, compassion, and fun!

I love you so much, Joy. I know you loved me too because you hired me 4 times over 3 decades❤️ My deepest condolences to Chuck, Justin and Martin, who I watched grow up. Sending love and light for peace and comfort.

Joy LOVED being with her family. . . . and enjoyed entertaining friends & family at home. Oh how we will miss this adoring & active friend! Thank God for the times we were blessed to share with her, Chuck & neighbors. She was the best! Now if we could just take one thing away with us that she taught us along the way, we would be a much better person ❤️🙏❤️.

Joy loved her time at Lake Martin with her family, and enjoyed having friends in to entertain.

I will desperately miss  the dinners, happy hours, hours sitting by the pool in the back yard catching up.  Telling each other current events in our families, sharing secrets and planning our next industry events.  

Having cocktails and snacks at the kitchen counter with Chuck, marveling at how adept you were with training Murphy and then Marley and Maxie!

More than any of that, I will miss the smile, the wit, the unconditional friendship and love that Joy Daugherty brought to my life.  

Joy gave from her heart and expected nothing in return. She touched so many and I am proud and honored to call her my friend. 

I love you and will miss you my friend.
