Joy Barbara Cross was born April 18, 1928 to Hobart and Iva (Friend) Cross in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. She passed from this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in Independence, Missouri. Joy is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Irene Everly and Frances Berry. She is loved and remembered by her children: Iva Thurston, Charles W. Herring II, Susanne Herring Terry; Rebecca Herring and Paul Herring and her brother, Paul Cross, along with her lifelong friend, Clara Euth. Joy wished to be cremated and no formal services are planned.
