"Yesterday, I lived my first day without my sister", those are the words of my husband. I imagine we all had our first 24 hours without Joy.

We are offering this online memorial website so we can all share our hearts and memories of Joy. It is a place to be together. We hope to create a book out of this and use this during our moments of grief.

Our dear daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague Joy Marie Brokopp passed on from this life and is now truly free and reunited with her mom in heaven. She was 49 years old.

Joy will be remembered for her fierce love and her unstoppable sense of humor. She was a woman of prayer, just like her mom, and she shared her heart through her beautiful paintings, sketches, and the hilarious, custom-written lyrics she would create …
