In Loving Memory of Joshua David Ugaste, 38 of Fort Mitchell, Alabama
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the sudden passing of Joshua David Ugaste, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Joshua’s departure leaves an unfillable void in our lives, but his spirit endures in the countless memories he created with those he touched.
Born in Lake Forest, IL, Joshua’s life was a testament to his strength, humor and unwavering determination. A natural leader, he demonstrated his prowess early as a football player and captain at Lake Zurich High School, IL, leading his team from underdogs to Conference Champions and State semifinalists in his senior year. His academic and athletic journey continued at Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Joshua’s commitment to service and excellence shone brightly during his time in the U.S. Army. As an Airborne Ranger stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, he served with honor and distinction for six years, retiring at the rank of Captain. In his post-military career as a Financial Advisor, he helped individuals & families secure their financial future and was recognized nationally for his exceptional performance.
Joshua is survived by his wife Stefanie; his sons Kasen and Hunter; his parents Rob and Linda, his brother John (Sarah); his Sister Christie Hoffman; nieces and nephews Faith, Luke, Scarlett, Nadia, Charlotte and Benjamin; Relatives by Marriage Jorge and Maria Guevara, Jorge II, Elvis and Erick Guevara.
Joshua’s legacy is not only in his accomplishments but in the laughter, joy and resilience he inspired in all of us. His absence is deeply felt, but his presence will forever be a guiding light in our hearts.
Rest in Peace, Joshua. In the mosaic of your life, each piece reflects a part of the story we will carry forward.
A memorial service will be arranged at a later date, where we can collectively remember and reflect on his life.
