Today, I remember Josh for how much he gave to the people who were special to him. He was my closest friend in the DC area, and I think a lot of us could say the same thing. Josh kept in close contact with his friends on a near daily basis through texting and Facebook, and we always knew where we could find him on Saturday afternoons. Under much different circumstances, I would've picked him up at the train station in Alexandria last night, driven over to his job site so we could watch WWE SmackDown in their rec room, read his text messages this afternoon bemoaning the Ohio State game that he was hate-watching, and then joined him to root on the Wolverines later tonight. I'm grateful for the shows we got to see together, the TV/movie/music recommendations that never stopped coming, and the gift of his company. I love the description of Josh on this page as someone who maintained a multitude of enduring friendships. I'd add that he was a good person who brought other good people together. Thanks to Josh for being an important part of our lives; on his birthday and all other days, his memory is a blessing.

Josh watching WrestleMania XXIX from an Arlington bar. This photo was taken just prior to him losing our wager on the outcome of the Chris Jericho vs. Fandango match. Josh good-naturedly accepted the consequences of downing two shots of Grand Marnier (the smell alone almost knocked me out). If great wrestlers need their trademark pose, this is the shot for Josh. Happy Birthday, buddy!
Josh liked to say we shared a birthday, considering time zone and such. Today is particularly hard. This was his fav time of year as the heat finally broke and the cold weather would start.
I miss comparing birthday stories and changes in seasons.😢
