Joshua's obituary
Joshua Randall Gallamore, 41, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away on May 27, 2025, in his hometown. Born on October 29, 1983, in Asheville, Josh spent his life surrounded by the people and places he loved most.
Josh was a sweet and caring person whose deep faith in God guided him throughout his life. A devoted Christian, he found his salvation and held steadfast to the belief that nothing was more important than his relationship with the Lord and the love he had for his family.
From the very beginning of his life, Josh faced health challenges. Despite these struggles, he met each day with resilience and a heart full of compassion. His strength was matched only by the unwavering support of his mother, Donna Gallamore. Their bond was extraordinary—Josh loved her deeply and knew she would always be there to care for him through every trial.
Josh’s greatest joy came from being a father. He is survived by his beloved wife Miranda Peterson and their three children: Mikayla Peterson, Jayda Peterson, and Joshua Lowe. As well as his two grandchildren Tucker and Harper Mathis. His love for them was boundless; they were the light of his life and the center of his world. He wanted nothing more than to see them thrive and be happy.
He also leaves behind a close-knit family who cherished him dearly: his twin brother Johnathan Gallamore; sisters Kelly Gallamore and Kristal Ballard along with her husband Harold Ballard; nephews Cameron Connors, Cody Connors, Dylan Gallamore, and Trevor Woodard; niece Katelyn Gallamore; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Among those closest to him was one of his dearest friends for many years, Christy McCosker—a friendship that brought comfort and joy throughout his life.
Josh was preceded in death by his father Randy Gallamore; maternal grandparents Huel and Helen Rice; and paternal grandparents Wayne and Barbara Gallamore.
A creative soul at heart, Josh found peace in drawing anything that inspired him. He also enjoyed coloring—simple yet meaningful expressions of beauty that reflected the gentleness within him.
The family extends heartfelt thanks for all the prayers, condolences, and support received during this difficult time. Your kindness has been a source of strength.
May Joshua Randall Gallamore’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and may his legacy live on through the love he gave so freely.
