Josh's obituary

Joshua Fletcher, 35, of Oneida, NY, passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes on April 1st, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Canastota, NY.

Josh was a loving husband, a beloved friend, and an inspirational presence to all who knew him. His warmth, kindness, humor, and enthusiasm for life touched countless hearts, both in his family, personal circles and among his colleagues at Turning Stone Casino Resort, where he was cherished as a dedicated and uplifting co-worker for many years.

A passionate fan of Magic: The Gathering, video games, art, and music. His playful spirit and quick wit made every gathering brighter, whether he was casting spells across the table or sharing laughs with his friends and loved ones.

Josh lived and breathed encouragement to making your life what you want it to be. He fought for his own happiness, fought for the happiness of others even harder, and inspired many to fight for the joy of oneselves and others' as he did.

Josh is survived by his wife, Katie Fletcher; his mother, Debra Fields; his sister, Tabitha Fields; his brother-in-law, Kris Fletcher; and his father-in-law, Mike Fletcher. He also leaves behind a wide circle of friends, and co-workers who will forever treasure his memory as someone who touched their lives.

Though his time with us was far too short, Josh’s legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Rest in peace, Josh. Your light will never fade.
