With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Joshua Chapman, who departed this world on November 8, 2023. Was born on June 7, 1979, Joshua's life was a shining testament to love, humor, and perseverance. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, driven by his inquisitive nature and keen intellect, that was evident in all his pursuits.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Chapman, His legacy continues through his sons, Chase, Christian, and Caden Chapman, whom he adored unconditionally. His father, Dave Chapman, sister, Jody Chapman-Gibson, and ex-wife, Monica Johnson, are left to cherish his memories. He was predeseceased by his Mother, Kathy Chapman. He left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength. He was not only a beloved family member but also a dear friend to many around him.
Joshua went to St. Viator High School, after he attended The Ohio State University. His inquisitiviness and keen intellect were the driving forces behind all his pursuits. Despite his many accomplishments, he remained a humble man, always prioritizing his family and freinds. His love for all music was widespread and infectious, often spending time with friends and family while tuning into his favorite beats.
He found solace in running and strength training, snowboarding, choosing these endeavours not only for their physical benefits but for their therapeutic qualities. The Ohio State Football was one of his favorite spots teams, reflecting his love for the game.
Joshua held his family and friends close to his heart, caring deeply about their well-being and happiness. His personality, often described as having a big heart, kind, with a wonderful sense of humor, generous, loyal, and brave, was magnetic, drawing people towards him effortlessly.
His legacy will forever be remembered through the love he shared unreservedly with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and if you knew him, you knew it. His loss will be profoundly felt. Joshua Chapman, a man of great kindness, generosity and bravery, will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
