Josephine M. Dugan, lovingly known as “Joy,” was born on June 21, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York, to Jean and Pete DeRosa. She grew up alongside her two sisters, Marcella and Vivian, and carried a vibrant spirit and strong will throughout her life.
In her youth, Joy was a talented dancer and was honored with the opportunity to become a Rockette. However, she chose a different path, one devoted to family and motherhood. She dedicated …
