I am truly heartbroken and devastated to hear of the loss of this amazing individual far to early in life.  I was fortunate enough to hire Joe to work as one of my team members at PBS.  Everything said about him here was reflected in the attitude and ability he showed in his job. He was tenacious and helpful, inquisitive and respectful, a true professional. 

After I left PBS I connected with Joe a few times and we shared stories and his love of astronomy.  We even occasionally donned our tinfoil hats and traded stories about the new jersey drone footage online. 

I still have one of Joe's amazing photographs (the wedding ring if you ever saw his stuff) set as the background on my desktop PC.  In honour of Joe I won't be changing that photo anytime soon. 

Goodbye my friend, I'll miss you.

He was a person I could always be myself around and be honest with. The last few times I was with him I shared a lot of personal and emotional things with him from my life, things I hadn't even shared with family and friends. He was there for me, to listen and to be the best friend that he could be. He always supported me in my choices and rooted for me. He always loved to joke around, but also ready to listen and give advice or help if someone honestly needed him to.

We shared a mutual interest in photography, he became incredible at astrophotography! When he was in town we'd always meet up for lunch and he'd show me his work- we'd catch up on things. I used to love making large prints of his work and framing them for him and Krista to enjoy.

I will miss him so much.

We where truly blessed proud and honored to call you our Son In Law. The love you had for our daughter and family was 1 in a million.  We will hold you in our hearts forever and always .
