Joseph's obituary

Joseph Charles Ravas, Jr., beloved father, grandfather, husband and friend, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday June 11th, 2024 in St. Louis at the age of 72.

Born on March 16th, 1952 to the late Joseph C. Ravas Sr. and Mary V. Ravas, nee Aubrey, Joe was raised in the Catholic faith. He attended McBride high school and obtained his Bachelor's degree at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Joe was united in marriage to the late Bridget Kathleen Ravas, nee Weimar, and three sons came to bless this union. Joe used his personable and witty attitude in his career as a financial advisor for over 20 years. Later in life, Joe dedicated his time to serve others at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.

Joe was passionate about St. Louis sports, attending and coaching little league baseball games, and never taking anything too seriously. His infectious laugh and optimistic personality will be remembered fondly.

Joe is survived by three sons, Joseph C. Ravas III and wife, Cecilia, Eric Ravas, and Michael Ravas and wife, Kirsten, and 5 grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Mary Ravas, former wife Bridget Kathleen Ravas, brothers James and Don Ravas and sisters Maggie White and Joan Hale.

A celebration of Joe's life will be held on June 22nd from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. at Farmhaus Restaurant in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute in Joe's memory.

Rest in peace, Joe. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
