Joseph "Joe" Phelps, born on July 18, 1981, passed away on January 30, 2024.

He was a beloved son, brother, father and uncle. He is survived by his father, Stephen Phelps, and his mother, Maria Lynn McGarry, and his sister Melissa Phelps, sons Torian and Lukas Phelps, and uncle to Joseph Sass and Kodi (Tessa) Phelps. He was predeceased by his uncle, Michael Flynn

Joseph battled with addiction, a fight that many silently endure. His family wants to extend a message to others who may be struggling: know that your family loves you. Remember, every moment of every day presents an opportunity to make a different choice. Choose to fight for a different life, and, above all, choose life. Remembering Joseph, let us each be inspired to confront our challenges with courage and to celebrate life with a heartfelt appreciation.

Joseph's life was a testament to resilience, love, and the indomitable human spirit. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.
