Joseph Earl Mercer Obituary

Joseph E. Mercer, 67, of Weatherford, Okla, passed away on January 31st of natural causes.

Joseph was born on December 20th 1956 to Jack E. Mercer and Donna Lorainne Johnson in Newton Kansas. After Joseph graduated from Sayre High School, he went into the Navy and served from June 1975-July 1977 and was stationed in California working at a facility that gave warning of nuclear attacks.

Joseph also studied Science at SWOSU and was employed at Walmart in the Maintenance Department. He was a devoted son, brother, cousin, uncle, and husband. He enjoyed playing the piano and singing.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents Jack and Donna Mercer, and his wife Leanna.

Surviving family members are brother Donald of Florida, brother Melvin of Oklahoma, sister Michelle of Oklahoma, sister Genise of New York, and sister Jaclynn of New Mexico.

Services will be held at Grace Assembly of God 10345 OK-54 Weatherford OK, on February 17th 2:00pm. Donations of flowers may be sent to the church. Anyone who cared for Joseph may attend.
