Joe, I hope you know I often brag about your interclub prowess when speaking with Kiwanians throughout North America. I’ve gained even more appreciation for your many efforts to advance our organization.
I mentioned Joe's passion for Kiwanis interclubbing as I facilitated lieutenant governor training for the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District this past weekend. I shared how Joe worked hard to win the Indiana District's honor for arranging the most interclubs most every year.
Joe is sorely missed and thought of often. I recall how proud he was that the downtown Indy club usually won the Indiana District award for the most interclub meetings, which he promoted so well.

Joe was a special blend. A heart for people and serving others, combined with wit and a zest for life. He was Mr. Kiwanis Interclub, and took great pride in winning the Indiana District award for the club that did the most interclubbing during the year on a consistent basis. The only solace in losing Joe is knowing that he is likely bringing great joy and fun to the members of the Kiwanis Club of Heaven.
It has been a year since Joe passed and he is sorely missed. Joe was an "imp"! He had a twinkle in his eye and a funny remark whenever I saw him. He was the sun on a cloudy day. He always had a thoughtful question to ask speakers. Joe was a cheerleader for Kiwanis and for our committees and programs. We will continue to miss him!
I've personally been at a loss since hearing of our loss in Joe. His humor, quick wit and comments, his passion for our Kiwanis Chapter and the inner clubs, let alone his family and his past work always made me smile. Seeing him at the events brightened my experience, and I will sincerely miss him. I'm grateful I was able to meet him 7 years ago.

Lizzy and Missy, Your dad was an awesome guy! I have the most loving memories of all the times I spent with him & Karin who I adored as well. I have so many great stories to share. I lost touch when I moved to Florida to care for my parents. I am so saddened because I had hoped to see him on "the other coast" one of these winters...we always talked about it. My condolences to all of you! You lost an absolutely wonderful man who treated everyone with such respect and care. Even though time has gone by, it still feels devastating. I know he is in Heaven!! He was the perfect guy to get there quickly.

I too was a Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringer with Joe...He had true heart for service for anyone who needed help. I will miss his enthusiasm and zest for life! Joe was retired for many years but he also served the architecture and engineering community through Marbaugh Reprographics. He was always introducing innovative products and services to make our lives better. He will be missed in so many ways! Chuck Kotterman
I will always remember Joe as the most loyal and dedicated Kiwanians I know.

His humor, Fighting Irish apparel, and ever full coffee mug were his signature style.

I used to always tell Joe—-“I want whatever you are having” in that coffee mug. RIP. Suzanne DeCellis
Joe Marbaugh was truly one of a kind—a great Kiwanian—a great Bell Ringing chair—coordinator of meeting volunteers and just a great member—in fact, the Kiwanian of the Year in 2019. You will really be missed, Joe!

Kiwanian of the Year
As a Kiwanian and member of The Salvation Army staff, I was in a unique position to see Joe at his finest, holding a wad of $1 bills and strongly encouraging passers by to donate to the kettle each year. Joe was co-chair of the Kiwanis vs Rotary Christmas Red Kettle Drive. Before Joe was involved, Rotary won three years in a row. As Joe became a leader in this endeavor, Kiwanis won five years in a row. Rest In Peace, Joe. You will be terribly missed! Duke Haddad

I was crestfallen to learn of Joe’s passing, as he enlivened both Indy downtown and Geist Kiwanis clubs with great humor and steadfast community service. He was also considered “Mr. Interclub” by many of us in the Indiana District, even organizing an interclub meeting every winter for Indiana snowbirds down in Florida. He had a natural gift for bringing people together and making people feel happy. No better epitaph. RIP, Joe...I’m sure you’ll be interclubbing Upstairs.
Joe will be sorely missed! He was a tremendous volunteer and cheerleader for Kiwanis. He rarely missed a meeting and gave every speaker his full attention. Joe greeted everyone and noticed the little things. There will be a “hole” in the club.
