Joseph's obituary
Joseph John Malarczyk, Jr., beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away on July 30th at age 57. Born in Princeton, NJ on July 9th, 1968, he was a resident of Daytona Beach, FL.
He lived many years in Burlington County before moving to Florida.
He attended Rancocas Valley Regional High School, and later obtained his GED. He was a certified welder, and he loved welding, making many works of functional art after a hard day’s work.
Joe had a big heart and would do anything for you, fix anything for you and cook anything for you. His sense of humor and ability to make people laugh will be greatly missed.
He struggled with addiction for most of his adult life but had many good years of sobriety too. Life’s waters weren’t always calm for Joseph, but he was especially happy when welding, fishing and when he was baptized in the ocean last August.
We are deeply saddened by his passing but can take solace that he can rest at peace now.
He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Malarczyk, and grandparents, Irene and John Malarczyk and Ida Mae and Joseph Cocciolillo.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Thomas Kelley, his sister, Mandy Malarczyk Hanigan and her husband Christopher, and brother, Michael Kelley and his fiancé Collette Jefferys, his nieces, Marielle Hanigan and Clara Kelley, nephew Carter Kelley, and his stepmother, Patricia Malarczyk, and many cousins.
Cremation was handled by Heritage Funeral Home and a virtual Memorial service is being put together by Victory House Daytona Beach. Details to follow.
Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
