Joseph's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph John Lyskawa, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend, who left us unexpectedly on May 30th, 2025 at the age of 64.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Joe was a man of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for his family. He was the cherished husband of Jill, his best friend and partner in life. Additionally survived by his loving children and grandchildren; Nicole Frankel (Brad, Cal, and Cara), Katie Hughes (Will, Liam, Luke, and Lydia) Kristin Caruso (Robert), Ryan Jones, Abby Kennedy (Zachary), Dylan Jones, and his favorite 4 legged companion Sandi. Also survived by siblings Keith Lyskawa, Sharon and Mike Brown, Frances Lafond, Jamey and Chris Lyskawa, Lisa and Rick Rousseau along with many nieces and nephews. 

Joe is also preceded in death by his parents Richard and Wanda Lyskawa, mother-in-law Joy Bowen, sister Kathy Adolph, and niece Pamela Lyskawa.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on June 20th at Saint Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to the American Heart Association.
