Joe's obituary
Joseph Lovejoy, a cherished father, brother, friend and spouse, passed away on November 3, 2024 at the age of 75. Born August 15, 1949, Joseph was known for his kindness, sense of humor, unwavering love for his family, and incredible eggplant parmesan. His memory will live on through his four children: Joseph John Lovejoy, Brianna Lovejoy, Emily Lovejoy, and Gregory Lovejoy. He is also survived by his sister, Debra Cotter, brother, Raymond Lovejoy, and beloved granddaughter, Raelyn Lovejoy. Joseph was husband to the late Karen Lovejoy of Foxborough, and son of the late Raymond and Jennie Lovejoy of Everett.
Joseph was an avid music lover and could often be found playing the drum, bongos, or any other surface he could find. Joseph loved the outdoors and was never happier than when he was skiing, canoeing or camping with loved ones. Joseph was also a dog lover and lovingly raised many fur children throughout his life.
While Joseph suffered with Alzheimer's in his later years, he never lost his signature sense of humor and always loved making those around him smile.
To remember Joe is to remember love, joy, and the importance of family. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him, teaching us all the power of laughter and the lasting impact of love.
Joseph made the generous decision to donate his body to Tufts University for medical research purposes. A celebration of Joseph’s life will be arranged upon the return of his remains. Please speak to members of the Lovejoy family for further details.
