Joseph E. Lloyd (Papa Joe) had many exceptional qualities and was full of commitment and perseverance. His dad passed away at an early age and his many roots in Maryland were loving and humble. He was a hardworking, benevolent man, and a remarkable husband and dad. He enjoyed family, reading books/maps, camping, sightseeing, Blues, and Rock-n-Roll. Upon completion of high school, he joined the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in San Diego, Ca. Where he met Diana, his future wife (together for forty years) shortly after his service ended. Joe then chose a career path in his desired field, got married, had a child, and graduated from college. Joseph is survived by his wife Diana Lloyd, his daughter, Paula Burns and son in law, Jordan Burns and three grandchildren, Natalie, Connor, and Abigail Burns. He has one living sister, Christine Barnes. Per Joes directive, his remains will be entrusted to his family and returned to his Texas home. On behalf of Joseph, we thank his extended family, his friends and colleagues for prayers and offering their support and kindness. Joe will be missed and remembered fondly by all his family and those who knew him.
