Joseph Ovid Lizotte, 83, of Skowhegan, ME. Passed away at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME., with his son and daughter-in-law at his side on June 19, 2022. 

 Joe was born on May 28, 1939 in Caribou, ME to Narcisse and Lorette Marie (Roy) Lizotte.

Joe graduated from Waterville High School in 1957.  He joined the U.S. Army in 1957 and served until 1960.  He also graduated from University of Maine in Orono in 1973. Joe worked in many different businesses starting at Norrwock Shoe Company and rising to the V.P. position.  He was C.EO. of Solon Manufacturing Company,  Co-owner and C.O.O. of U.S.Stick Company and C.E.O. of Marplex Lumber. He also owned Whittemores Restaurant in Skowhegan, ME.

Joe is survived by his wife Judith Ann (Wise) Lizotte, his son Craig and wife Linda Lizotte of Skowhegan,  ME.  Sister, Anita and husband Carroll Rousseau of Knoxville, TN. Brother-in-law, William Wise of Gorham, Me. Grandchildren, Craig Joseph Lizotte of Tampa, FL. and Katelynn and husband Caleb Foster of Mercer, ME. and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Marie Jeana Marcella and Mary Joan Lizotte.  Son, Stephen Craig Lizotte.  Sister-in-law, Roberta Wise.

A grave side service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, ME. at a later date.

Cremation was done by Cremation Basics, Inc., Bangor, ME.
