Gordan became a good family friend countless years ago. He always had a smile on his face and a hilarious story to tell. He taught my little Brother, John Richard everything he knows about duck hunting. You can’t put in to words how special he was. He touched many lives and created endless laughter. My thoughts are with you Karen and family

Mr. Gordon was at almost every game of Jackson’s no matter what. So thankful that Jackson and my girls knew they were so loved by him. We sure miss him!

Allen never duck hunted until he met Gordon! Gordon introduced him to his first hunting lab, Buck, and he was hooked! We will always hold tight our memories! We love you and will miss you greatly! ♥️
I will forever treasure our time spent with you and Karen on Lake Hamilton in Arkansas! We all had a blast!

Gordon and I have been friends and hunting companions since 1982. I will miss him much. He taught me most everything I know about duck hunting. RIP Gordon!
Loved “You you wanted to talk ducks, Mr Gordon was your man. Called everyone "guy", lol. I enjoyed several hunts with Mr Gordon and Jim and after moving to Grand Lake, I was looking forward to reconnecting with him. So sorry for his family's loss. Ted McDermott”
Gordon enjoyed fighting redfish on our fishing trips at Hackberry, even though once, after a long fight, he had to pass the rod to me to finish reeling it in!

When we talked to each other on the phone, I always addressed him as “Master of the Universe Duck Slayer” and we laughed.

He told me a lot about dog training.
When we talked before he left his house Saturday morning, I told him about an article in the magazine “Retriever News” that showed him winning a AKC Qualifier test with his dog. He was so happy when I told him about that!

Gordon’s passion was hunting ducks. We killed a lot of ducks in the many seasons we hunted together. Even though the hunting during the last duck season was terrible, it was one of the most enjoyable. We just talked and laughed while we waited for the birds that never came. It was really a good time!

I am really going to miss him!
