Joseph's obituary

Joe Laster, a dedicated retiree of the US Postal Service, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and love. Growing up in Worcester, Massachusetts, he made both Sturbridge, MA, and East Greenwich, RI his home prior to relocating to Bluffton, SC to enjoy a life of golf and sun on the coast. After 20 years, he returned to school to complete his Bachelors Degree at Providence College, continuing on to earn his Masters Degree in Business Administration.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen, and his cherished children: Amie Fabiano and her husband Brian, Nathan Laster and his wife Agnieszka and Sierra Roach and her husband Kyle. Joe also took great joy in being a grandfather to Collin, Emma, Maggie and Alex.

Joe was always known for his stories, his hankering for an ice cold Diet Coke, his watch collection and his love of sports cars.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life. Details will be shared with family and friends.
